About the Centre for
Democracy & Dialogue

An independent civil society organisation with roots in Fiji’s peace-building movement, working across democratic governance, human rights and civic participation throughout the Pacific.

Our Story

Dialogue Fiji has been working in the area of inclusive and participatory decision-making, democratic transition, good governance, conflict analysis and peace-building since 2009. In May 2026 it rebranded as the Centre for Democracy & Dialogue.

Our vision is “a Fiji where people respect each other’s differences and share a common will to build a free, just, peaceful and inclusive nation.”

We promote the use of dialogue and deliberative processes to encourage and facilitate civic engagement in Fiji — to strengthen democratic culture, build social cohesion, and advocate for peaceful ways of resolving conflict.

🎯

Mission

Create inclusive spaces for dialogue and peace-building, and develop capacities for a culture of dialogue across divides.
